My name is Nathan, and I help businesses use their vast amount of data and turn it into useful information. I attained a business degree with a major in accounting, but I later learned that I have a strong passion for working with data. It turns out, the two go together well.
Data is useless if you don't know how to use it. While many modern programs have impressive default dashboards and metrics compared to years ago, it simply isn't in-depth or custom enough to be competitive in the real business world. Business is more than numbers, but it's more than feelings as well. It's important to have the ability to determine not only what happened, but why. Why did this vendor's margin decrease from this same period last year? Did we simply sell less? Did our customers buy a different mix of that vendor's products? Or was it related to pricing/cost changes? This is the heart of the Price-Volume-Mix analysis, just one of the many types of analysis I can offer. I encourage you to take a look and interact with some of my example Power BI reports that I have included below.
